For entrepreneurs, creating a company may require at least €30,000, while investors must commit at least €300,000, hold at least 10% equity, and provide financial statements or other documentation on the nature of the project, their financial resources, and the investment plan; investment should also create or preserve jobs within four years. Artists must earn at least 70% of their income from artistic or literary work, and researchers may need a convention d'accueil for public or private research. The current permit may later be renewed, with validity extended or adapted to new categories under the same conditions if the applicant continues to qualify.
